We’re Moving!

We’re Moving!

After 12 years, we are moving from our current location at 2701 Monroe Street.  While the gallery is doing very well and 2015 was a great year, less than 10% of our sales were generated from our Monroe Street gallery.  Facing a trend of decreasing foot-traffic, upcoming lengthy street construction, and having to sign a new long-term and increasingly expensive lease, we have opted to open a second sister-location in Fitchburg, where we have been based for nearly 30 years.

The move will take place at the end of June, 2016. Our ever-expanding inventory will be available on our website for you to view.  While we will not have regular gallery hours, as we settle into our new space in July, we will be available by appointment and are happy to meet with you, at your convenience.

We are having a moving sale to lighten the load of our 450 paintings at Monroe Street, so please visit before July 1 to get some great art at a discount…every piece is reduced!

Our new contact information is listed below.  Just a reminder…we are moving, NOT closing.  We want to thank you for your continued patronage and friendship, and we look forward to serving you, as well as continuing our philanthropic endeavors with more than 100 local organizations, in this community, for decades to come!

Fall 2013 Gallery Night

Please join us for an evening of the senses, Friday, October 4, 2013 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Enjoy the sounds of live jazz by guitar virtuoso John Vitale and wonderful vocal stylist Marilyn Fisher while enjoying the great art at Gallery Night!  John Vitale has been playing the guitar for more than 40 years, and started playing in nightclubs and orchestras in 1968. He has the ability to play many different styles from Jazz to Classical and has a wide repertoire. He has a wonderful synergy with vocalist Marilyn Fisher, a much celebrated Wisconsin vocalist and vocal teacher, who shares John’s diversity and love for a great song and lyrics. Between these two brilliant musicians, they cover a lot of musical territory.

We will be featuring some spectacular new paintings spanning three centuries, with a very special appearance by award-winning artist, Ken DeWaard, who will be showing many new works. Ken has been painting for more than 20 years. Strongly influenced by masters John Singer Sargent, Nicolai Fechin, Joaquin Sorolla and the Russian Impressionists, after earning his BA with honors, he continued his studies at the American Academy of Art, and joined the acclaimed Palette and Chisel Academy of Fine Art in Chicago, studying with masters Scott Burdick and Dan Gerhartz. DeWaard prefers painting “en plein air,” outdoors in the elements, where he strives to capture the light before it changes. His sense of color and brushwork are finely honed after years of study and experience, and his works are widely collected. He has received many awards, including best-of-show, and most recently, the 2013 Artist Choice Award at the Easton Plein Air competition. He currently resides in the southwestern Driftless Area with his wife and four children. Ken recently won the coveted 2013 Artist’s Choice Award at the Plein Air Festival on the East Coast!

You can view our amazing collection of Ken’s work here.

As always, we will be serving delicious appetizers and wine for you to enjoy throughout the evening. We look forward to seeing you there!
